Our team at Sage Engineering has some impressive employees in our ranks and this Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the incredibly talented individuals who work with us. We’ll be featuring a new interview here on our website every few months.

How has SAGE helped with your career development?

Since I started working at SAGE, the management team has actively supported my career development. The Performance Development Plan (PDP) program in place at SAGE provides a useful tool that allows employees to establish concrete goals for the year. The management team uses employee PDPs to assign projects based on the personal and professional goals set by the individual. Having worked on a variety of projects with multiple clients, I have had the opportunity to explore several new and familiar areas of interest, while expanding my own knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry. The SAGE team has a wide range of expertise. Working alongside industry experts has motivated me to strive for continuous improvement and has ultimately helped progress my career as a prospective Professional Engineer.

What advice do you have for prospective candidates considering SAGE?

Don’t limit yourself. The role of a consultant can vary day-to-day; therefore, it’s important to remain flexible and be willing to face new challenges. SAGE will provide you with opportunities to work on a variety of projects, while assuming different roles. Take time to reflect. Determine what you hope to achieve at SAGE and identify your areas of interest. The SAGE team is adamant about supporting employee growth and they will make a consistent effort to tailor your work assignments based on your career goals. Therefore, it is important to establish your goals, early on.

What has your experience been with SAGE’s culture?

Amazing! When I first started at SAGE, it became immediately clear to me that the management team truly cares about its employees. Feedback is always welcome, and the team makes a consistent effort to implement changes as needed, all to improve the employee experience. SAGE has a wonderful team dynamic, balancing professional collaboration with social events to build trust between team members. SAGE fosters an inclusive work environment, and our team is made up of incredibly supportive individuals. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with.
