Our team at Sage Engineering has some impressive employees in our ranks and this Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the incredibly talented individuals who work with us. We’ll be featuring a new interview here on our website every few months.

How has SAGE helped with your career development?

When it comes to career development, SAGE has given me excellent opportunities to work on a vast array of different types of projects. Having recently graduated with some co-op experience, SAGE provided an opportunity to work in a fast-paced engineering environment while applying key concepts learned throughout my undergrad. I have been able to further develop many of my technical skills, including the use of AutoCAD and Visio. It has been exciting to use in-demand programs to create solutions for clients. Along with technical skills, I’ve been able to further enhance my communication and teamwork skills by participating in client as well as internal meetings and presentations. SAGE has been excellent for my career development thus far, and I’m excited for what’s to come!

What advice do you have for prospective candidates considering SAGE?

For new prospective candidates coming to SAGE, I would tell them about the amazing opportunities that SAGE has to offer. The work environment is supportive and rewarding and allows for one to keep a work-life balance. SAGE employs amazing individuals that are easy to reach out to and encouraging. SAGE has implemented different initiatives to allow for ease of transition including the Mentorship program which pairs each new hire with a current employee. I feel that this is a great place for new graduates looking for positions as there is great opportunity for growth.

What has your experience been with SAGE’s culture?

SAGE has an amazing culture that is welcoming and supportive. Everyone at SAGE is approachable and always willing to help when needed. I feel that I’m consistently problem-solving while working on exciting new projects. SAGE provides a challenging but rewarding environment that allows for professional and personal growth. SAGE embodies the core values of Quality, Teamwork and Commitment on a day-to-day basis.
