Reconfiguration of a Small Volume Nasal’s Packaging Line
SAGE Engineering Services Ltd. was selected as the Equipment Engineers to provide solutions for and manage the reconfiguration of an existing nasal’s packaging line. Reconfiguration was required to incorporate new and existing equipment within the facility to meet increased forecast volumes and to satisfy neckbanding and bundling capability.
Numerous concept layouts of the reconfigured line were developed by SAGE, relocating the existing bottle Checkweigher and manual packing table, and incorporating the following new equipment:
- Crimp Inspection Station
- PDC Neckbander and Shrink Tunnel
- Secondary Accumulation Table
SAGE facilitated the installation of the new and existing equipment as per the approved concept layout. Working closely with the Mechanical and Electrical contractors and conveyor contractors, SAGE provided vendor management to ensure seamless physical and controls integration of the new equipment with the existing line. Commissioning was completed internally by the client.
Throughout the course of the project, SAGE provided Project Management, including scheduling and budget control, to ensure that project completion would be on time and on budget.
