Vaccine Manufacturing Area Refurbishment

SAGE Engineering Services Ltd provided Project Management for the refurbishment of an existing vaccine manufacturing area. The scope of work included the feasibility and implementation of new equipment to support the manufacturing of new product requiring lyophilisation.
The SAGE team reviewed and assessed the existing aseptic area and provided a process solution to support the needs of the new product. SAGE prepared a detailed URS and assisted in creating room and equipment layouts, coordinating with vendors to produce workable equipment interfaces.
SAGE played an integral role in the design and review of architectural and mechanical components and after analysis of various equipment concepts, an optimal layout was determined. As owner representatives, SAGE managed the required changes to the facility with the architectural, mechanical and electrical teams, and the two major equipment vendors.
Coordination and project management of start-up and commissioning activities by SAGE ensured that the project was completed on time and within budget.
